Turning Point Navigation respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information thoughtfully and responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected when you visit turningpointnavigation.com, contact Turning Point Navigation, or engage in coaching services, and how that information may be used, stored, and shared.
By using this website or voluntarily providing personal information, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information You Provide
Turning Point Navigation collects personal information that you choose to provide.
When you schedule a Complimentary Discovery Session or coaching appointment through Acuity Scheduling, you may be asked to provide information such as your first name, last name, email address, and optional phone number. For a Discovery Session, you may also choose to provide information in response to brief intake questions about what brings you to coaching and what you would like to discuss.
If you correspond with Turning Point Navigation by email, additional information you voluntarily include in those communications may also be received and retained.
If you become a coaching client, additional information may be collected as reasonably necessary to provide coaching services and manage the coaching relationship. This may include scheduling information, coaching agreements, relevant correspondence, payment or transaction records, and brief coaching notes.
Turning Point Navigation seeks to collect and retain only information reasonably needed for legitimate business and coaching purposes.
2. How Information Is Used
Personal information may be used to:
Respond to inquiries and requests for a Complimentary Discovery Session.
Communicate with prospective and current clients.
Schedule and provide coaching services.
Maintain appropriate business and client records.
Process and document payments.
Operate, maintain, protect, and improve the website and business.
Comply with applicable legal, tax, accounting, or professional obligations.
Scheduling a Discovery Session, coaching appointment, or contacting Turning Point Navigation by email does not enroll you in a newsletter or marketing mailing list. Turning Point Navigation does not currently operate an email newsletter.
3. Coaching Sessions and Records
Coaching conversations are treated as confidential in accordance with the coaching agreement, professional ethical standards, and applicable law.
Turning Point Navigation does not routinely record audio or video of coaching or Discovery Sessions and does not routinely create automated transcripts of those conversations.
Brief coaching notes may be maintained when useful for supporting the coaching relationship. The intention is to retain information relevant to the coaching engagement rather than create a detailed transcript of coaching conversations.
Additional information regarding confidentiality, coaching records, and the respective responsibilities of coach and client will be addressed in the Coaching Agreement.
This approach is consistent with the current ICF Code of Ethics, which calls for coaching records—including electronic files and communications—to be maintained, stored, and disposed of in ways that promote confidentiality, security, and privacy. (ICF)
4. Website and Technical Information
Like most websites, this website and the services used to operate it may automatically collect certain technical information when you visit.
This may include information such as browser or device information, pages visited, referring information, and information collected through cookies and similar technologies.
Turning Point Navigation uses Squarespace to host and operate the website. Appointment scheduling is provided through Acuity Scheduling, which is integrated with the website and may collect information necessary to schedule and manage appointments.
Turning Point Navigation has configured its Squarespace cookie settings to restrict non-essential cookies where consent is required and to provide visitors with options to accept, decline, or manage cookies.
Turning Point Navigation also uses Google Analytics to better understand how visitors use the website. Google Analytics may collect information such as pages viewed, browser and device information, referral information, approximate geographic information, and interactions with the website. This information is used to understand website traffic and improve the website and visitor experience.

Zoom — online Discovery Sessions and coaching calls.
Acuity Scheduling — appointment scheduling, appointment-related communications, and management of client booking information.
Stripe — payment processing for coaching appointments.
These service providers may process personal information as necessary to provide their services and are subject to their own privacy and security practices.
7. Sharing of Personal Information
Turning Point Navigation does not sell personal information.
Personal information may be shared with service providers when reasonably necessary for them to perform services on behalf of Turning Point Navigation, such as website hosting, email, file storage, scheduling, online meetings, or payment processing.
Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, legal process, court order, or other legal obligation, or when disclosure is otherwise permitted or required by law.
Confidentiality specific to the coaching relationship will be addressed more fully in the Coaching Agreement.

Turning Point Navigation takes reasonable steps to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, or loss.
Business and client records are intended to be maintained within password-protected business systems, including Google Workspace and Google Drive, with access limited to those who have a legitimate need for the information.
No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

9. How Long Information Is Kept
Turning Point Navigation seeks to retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, for legitimate business needs, or as required by applicable law.
For individuals who inquire about coaching but do not become clients, Turning Point Navigation currently anticipates retaining inquiry-related information for approximately 12 months following the last interaction, unless there is a legitimate reason to retain it longer.
Client records may be retained for an appropriate period following the end of the coaching relationship and then securely deleted or disposed of when they are no longer reasonably needed.
Financial and tax records may be retained for the period necessary to satisfy applicable accounting, tax, or legal requirements.
